Mushfiq KHAN (son of Farziyev Mushfiq Fuzuli)

Well-known Azerbaijani writer, publisher, founder of “Mucru” publishing house

In 2017, he ranked 1st in the top ten authors whose books are sold the most in Azerbaijan.

It is a member of the International Guild of Writers, the International Union of Writers and the Union of Writers of the XXI Century.

He is a biologist by profession. His authored book “Biology” won the “Book of the Year” nomination at the 10th International Book Fair held in Turkmenistan in 2015.

His novels were published in Russia, Poland and Kazakhstan. He is the author of the prose magazine “Mucru” and the literary portal Proza.ru under the Union of Russian Writers.

He successfully participated in international literary competitions “Golden Knight 2017” (Moscow) and “Open Eurasian Literature Festival & Book Forum 2017” (London).

Mushfiq Khan was born on July 19, 1982 in Bilasuvar district.

In 1989-1999, he studied at Nizami Ganjavi City Secondary School No. 1 in Bilasuvar.

In 1999-2003 he graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University as a bachelor, in 2005-2008 he graduated from the Botany specialty of Nakhchivan State University as a master, in 2008-2011 he graduated from the Central Botanic Garden Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences at the post-graduate level; He wrote his doctoral dissertation in biology on the topic “Introduction of plants belonging to the genus Asparagus”.

In 2003-2004, he served in the Border Troops.

In 2005-2008, he was a member, deputy chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the Independence Front for United Azerbaijan.

In 2006-2009, he was the chairman of the Patriotic Youth Organization.

In 2008-2010, he was the chairman of the “University” department of the Classical People’s Front Party.

In 2006, he founded the independent monthly magazine “KHAN” and was the chief editor of the magazine in 2006-2008.

His first methodical book was published in 2008 (“Biology step by step”), and his first fiction book was published in 2010 (“The Lone Wolf” detective novel).

In 2004-2011, he worked as a chemistry-biology teacher at Gobu No. 1 named after G. Khaligov and Gobu No. 2 named after A. Ibrahimov in Absheron region.

In 2008-2012, he worked as a research worker in the “Rare and endangered plants” laboratory at the Central Botanical Garden of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

In 2008-2016, he worked as a teacher, head of subject, head of examination in “Hadaf” courses.

In 2008-2019, he worked as the executive director of “Hadaf” publications and was a member of the Board of Directors.

In 2018, he established a new book center concept – “Bappalaca”.

In 2019, he founded “Mucru” publishing house.

In 2020, so called “Larets” a russian-spoken publishing unit, operating as part of “Mucru” publishing house, has been founded.
